Support SVH

SVH Project Deafblind requires support from you to bring the desired changes in the lives of children / adults with deafblindness and multiple disabilities.

You can be involved with them in many ways through your donations.


Capacity Building

  • In-house training
    The Special educators are refreshed with updated knowledge on disability by SVH faculty or external resource persons in short trainings.
  • Participation
    Special Educators and the SVH Faculty are provided the opportunity to attend seminars/workshops hosted by other NGOs/ GO’s  in the city/country.
  • Braille and Sign Language Training is being provided to the educators, the parents and the other NGO’s at Maharashtra Nivas.
  • SVH is also a member of national level Network of parents (PRAYAS), educators (ABHIPRERNA)  and adult deafblind individuals (UDAAN).These three networks are maintained by Sense International (India).
  • 3 day workshop on therapeutic needs of the children with cerebral palsy and deafblindness was held in Ahmedabad, November 4-6, 2014. Mallika Das attended the workshop and afterwards shot a 3 minute video film on Rashida Gariwala who has sensory issues.
  • Refresher Course (December 9-24, 2014) on Mathematics Braille was held at Blind Boys' Academy, Narendrapur. The course was designed by the National Institute for the Visually Handicapped. Annapurna Maruvada and Mallika Das were deputed to update their knowledge.
  • Sense International (India) had selected Mallika Das as Mentor for the Naba Bharat Jagriti Kendra, Jharkhand, for their services towards the children and young adults with deafblindness in the year 2014-15. She had visited Ranchi and Hazaribagh, in August 2014 and januaey 2015. She also participated in the Mentors' Meet in Goa, February 19, 2015.
  • SVH faculty has started a fresh training on English Braile Grade 2 for its teachers and the students with visual impairment at its Tuesday class held in Mharashtra Nivas.
